Cervical spine imaging
X-ray examination of the cervical spine to visualize bony changes.
CT or MRI imaging
Visualization of the bony and connective tissue structures of the cervical spine using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or computed tomography (CT) if an MRI is not available.

This depends on the severity of the changes and the degree of chronicity.
The muscular tension is usually reduced after 2-3 weeks, but a lasting reduction in pain and free mobility often only occurs after months.
The injections are somewhat unpleasant, but often provide significant pain relief afterwards. Many of our patients have completed the treatments with ease.
