European shot put champion Christina Schwanitz also underwent successful knee surgery in September by Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Ogon successfully operated on her knee joint for chronic patellar tendinopathy.
For years, the European shot put champion had been plagued by chronic overuse and irritation in the area of the tip of her patella.
After the successful operation, the patient was able to slowly start building up her strength again. Even though she had to cancel the indoor season at the moment, we are all very optimistic that she will be able to demonstrate her usual outstanding performance in the shot put again in the summer.
